DAF School of Nursing and Midwifery

DAF School of Nursing & Midwifery was started in November 13th 2013. DAF School Of Nursing & Midwifery was founded by Dr. William Erasmus Alele, a retired Medical Doctor and Surgeon who studied from Russia and worked in various hospitals in Uganda including Lira, Pallisa, and Apac, becoming medical supertendant and district health officer, he fled to Kenya in the turbulent Amin era and as a refugee worker with the joint refugee services from October 1977 to December 1979 when he returned to Uganda. He then started a private clinic and DAF to train Nurses and Midwives. He believed that supporting the community and human kind training Nurses and Midwives was a dream come true.

Some of the Achievements over the years are;

  1. Academic Excellence of students every semester.
  2. Offering Partial scholarships to students.
  3. Offering bursary every semester to best performing students.
  4. Retaining the best performing staffs to work and support the institution.
  5. DAF School of Nursing and Midwifery supports the community by holding a health camp annually.
